Revamping My Master Bedroom, Creating A New Set - Under $300! ( Fashion Forecaster Dianna Prince )

I'm in the process of redecorating our master bedroom, revamping it, in fashion, luxury and a brand new set for my show, Pinup Talk host Dianna Prince!!! Beyond excited.

It's been a long time since I focused on home improvements and decorating. The color gray, as a main color in bedroom decor, is very popular this year. Such a versatile color, many shades and similar colors as gray, like charcoal, silver, metals, etc.

I've already blogged on the color being popular in the mainstream, and showcase several bedroom images, with the base color of gray. So this blog will be about the exact items I ordered. I will also show a before picture, then as I go along, add a picture of each look. I believe I have about 3 total looks, main differences are the color of the comforters, pillows, and curtains.

I'm using plum, with mainly white or gray. Also light blues and tans. As each season changes I will easily be able to incorporate colors, to add to the gray, white, or black. During Thanksgiving and Christmas I love to have out my cranberry velvet blanket, and use colors like burgundy and black. Summertime, I love crisp white, with bright colors.

I shopped 2 websites, Walmart.com and Ebay. Walmart sells home decor, that are many different brands, shipped from those manufacturers, to me, but via Walmart. So most items are actually not Walmart brand, but ordered thru them. Delivery has been fast and efficient, thus far. I always have great experiences buying on Ebay, for the most part, and a few things were ordered from Ebay.

Aside from upgrading, home improvement with decorating, having new stuff, comfortable stuff, that looks great, I'm going to be filming from our master bedroom. Nothing wild, just doing a few product reviews, going live to interact with my public, and covering topics on my show, as I normally would, except in a nice bedroom setting. Huge bed, tons of pillows, everything matching and fabulous.

So many things have been arriving and today more, including our new gray headboard. This is a key piece. I also ordered a headboard backdrop, a photography backdrop, that on camera or film, appears real. So I'll be able to have 2 options, as far as what's behind me, when I film. Curtains are great too, but I wanted a backdrop like this, for so long, for photo shoots.

All these years we've been married and just now buying a headboard. Guess we're just plain, in so many ways. Haha. In others ways I'm not because I love fashion. My husband gave me the green light and a budget, so I decided on home improvement, and specifically, decorating our bedroom.

I will post the link to this blog again, once I add images of my finished product. For now, here are a few inspiring, bedroom looks, with a similar look I plan to achieve, using grays. I have a few things coming from China via Ebay, so it could be a solid month from now, before I have all 3 looks, photographed and added.

While I still have the pictures in my phone, and not too far down, I'll begin this blog. I was able to get most of my stuff for about $300. I must gather a detailed list and add it to this blog, but I ordered 2 blankets, 2 comforters, 3 sheet sets, 2 bed skirts, a papal of curtains, lamp cover, huge footlocker, decorative pillows, sets of silver satin pillow covers, the headboard backdrop, a plum colored headboard, and more, all for our queen size bed!!

Once you get into materials, thread counts, where it's shipped from, name brands and who is selling, the prices will vary. Obviously there are expensive sheets, pillows, blankets and more. There are high end, low end, and brands and businesses in between. I definitely did not go the expensive route, very expensive material or name brands.

I do believe, confidently that our items will feel comfy, serve a purpose, as lien does, create some luxury for us, as my husband works very hard, and be an exciting, refreshing new environment, a brand new set up for my pinup show, which is on my YouTube channel.

Photography backdrop. Ebay. Under $50. They have similar ones in different sizes, and different prices. I love this powder blue, with the silver and white details.

Queen size, throw blanket. Thin material, perfect for adding color, or adding extra warmth to a comforter. Very inexpensive at Walmart.com

Gray, plaid, reversible comforter. So soft and snuggly. White and red details. Walmart.com

Thick, winter temperature comforter. Crisp white, love the unique pattern. Its heavy, stylist and made by a Canadian company, sold via Walmart.com

Great price, under $30

Huge, clothing footlocker. I feel in love with the vintage look. Of course there are endless footlockers, different colors, designs, materials, sizes and prices. I thought this color was unique, as well as versatile. The black and silver details, are also versatile colors, and bring a vintage look to this modern item. Comes with a lock and keys. Worth the money, high quality item shipped to our home, about $60.

Above are the sheets and bed skirt. I did order a gray bed skirt, which is on our bed now, and the white, gray and white striped sheet set, off white sheet set, and gray with gray stripes, sheet set. With the cranberry colored sheets, all all black, I feel we're stocked up on sheets, for awhile. Pillow cases are definitely something we have plenty of, and I ordered 2 big pillows, just for looks. I think all our big and really big pillows will look fabulous with satin pillow covers, next to the dark gray headboard.

Silver and gray pillow cases, throw pillows, all ordered from different sellers on Ebay. The 1 papal gray, curtain is perfect for our master bedroom, as we have a window that would need just a single, long papal. Everything from Ebay, minus the photography backdrop paper, are all inexpensive items, under $20, under $10
